Cellular Encapsulation Enhances Cardiac Repair
Human mesenchymal stem cells were encapsulated in alginate and attached to the heart with a hydrogel patch in a rat myocardial infarction model. The authors previously identified LB-PTK2B-1T as HLA class II restricted polymorphic antigen in a patient treated with donor lymphocyte infusion for relapsed chronic myeloid leukemia after HLA-matched alloSCT.
